So I'm doing game 1 of 3 with ref18. In fact, I think it was his second WH. Ever.

The home organization, a local minor football group sets up a tent & barbeque on game days for goodies all day long.

During the pre-game captains' conference, he asks if anyone has any questions. (These kids are 7 and 8 years old.)

The first kid asks if when they score a touchdown, can they do the bomb celebration. That's when the players (9 of them) make a circle in the EZ, throw the ball in the air, and when it lands between them, they fall all backwards. I nearly peed my pants.

A second kid, from the other team, asks if he can go get a hot dog.

Gotta love that youth football.

Peace

At that age, I'd probably be inclined to join the bomb, and then go with the other kid to get a hot dog too.

Dammit, you beat me to it :p

Ummm, just for the record, I said they couldn't do the bomb, that's considered an unsporting act and therefore not allowed :D

Although I ended up hitting the tent after the game. They had breakfast sandwiches. Being away at college, this meant my first real breakfast in 3 weeks :D

Didn't you have to think twice about your original ruling? :D

Didn't you recently participate in frosh week? I guess this was the first solid breakfast, rather than liquid, you had in awhile. :)
