Missed Field Goal

I have a question, please guys set me straight.
I am a newbie at FB.
Missed field goal attempt:
original LOS is B25
A lines up and gets off terrible kick, nobody touches ball and it rolls dead at B's 5 yd line.

B gets ball 1/10. Where, B's 25, B's 20 or B's 5.

I was told field goal attempt is treated just like a punt, I would have tendency to put it in play B 1/10 at 5.

If kick crosses GL then we put it at the 20.

Am I right? or am I missing something here?

Don't try and make this easy play complicated. A field goal is a scrimmage kick the same as a punt. It rolled dead at the 5 and there is stays. 1&10 for B at the 5.
