After a play the head coach takes several steps onto the field to loudly berate the officiating crew. He is penalized for USC.

Then that coach calls a timeout and calls his team to the sideline. As the team approaches, the assistant coach yells loudly to his team (loud enough for wing official to hear), "Good play guys, the ref's ------ us."

Do you penalize the assistant coach for USC, or penalize the bench and send the head coach packing?

If the assistant coach has the foul mouth why would you penalize the head coach?

The HC is responsible for his bench and staff behaviors. However, I would have stuck the asst. coach and ejected him from the game. I would then let the HC know and understand that he could have been the one to leave and any other comment from the bench, he would be next.

I agree with you 1000%. Flag him and toss him.
