I have been tasked to present Rule 8 at our association meeting Wednesday. Does anybody have any ideas on how to approach this presentation? I thought about relating the study questions to the applicable rule.

Paul:
The case book offers several good examples regarding momentum and possession. Which player is responsible for the "force" of the ball, what constitues a safety vs a touchback. IMHO many of the plays in the case book are worthy of review for Rule 8.

Force, safety, and touchback are the areas I would put a great deal of focus on.

If you have access to Powerpoint or similar software, this may be a good time to use it, particularly in relation to 8-5 and force.

You could either use video clips (if you have access) or use clip art (animations of balls and hands, perhaps) - set up situations involving the goal line, and what the results are.

If you go by an analog method, I'd go by what everyone else has already said. Also, don't forget 8-3-9 and 8-4-2.
