Smile I'm ordering a cup this year.

Well James, you helped me reach a very critical decision: I'm finally going to order a cup for this season!

I know this is a personal question: but what do you wear as an undergarment?

I wear those McDavid compression shorts and they seem to hold everything in place pretty tightly. But when I started to think about it, these shorts don't really offer any good protection against direct contact against our vital organs.

I’ve been wearing McDavid compression shorts plus a pair of FTL boxer-jockeys underneath for the extra support. But after last weeks bashing I’m definitely switching to the compression shorts I use for baseball. They have a pocket for my cup (gets runith over )

I had a game a few years ago That brought some chuckels. It was part way through the 2nd quarter. I was a wing official and the team with the ball ran a pass play. I read my blocks and was moving down field with the reciever and defender. I was keeping a close eye on the action between the two players in my zone. The QB passed the ball into my area. I turned to spot the ball in time to see the QB had thrown the ball to me. It looked like it was inches from my face. I ducked to avoid the contact and my feet got tangled up. I ended up falling to the grass and getting the ugly grass stain on my white pants. As I was getting up, one of the players came off the sideline to see if I needed help. That just added more fuel to the fire for the rest of the crew that was already having a good laugh.
To top it all off, on the evening sports coverage, they showed the play and made a joke out of the pass atempt to the official. They showed me going down in slow motion. It was the closest the QB came all night to completing a pass.

Well, at least you got on TV!

Now about those grass stains, have you tried that Sport Stik from Honig's?

My rookie year I was at a scrimmage at the U position. Running play up the middle. I hold my ground as the running back is coming at me so he can cut off me without me moving into his path. Out of the corner of my eye I see a little buck 20 something corner back coming at the RB and I. As he starts to dive I brace as I know he is going to hit me. I'm 6'5", 250 at the time. I guess you know who won that battle. After he hits me and I look down at him laying on the ground. He looks up and says "ohhh wrong one. Am I in trouble?" I told him only by his coach for that weak excuse of a hit. "Oh no, not again." He said. His coach asked me afterwards if I had any eligibility left..
