For the following 3 questions, I think it will be beneficial to state how the plays would have been handled last year, and then how they would be with the new rules for 2005.
1. 2-6 from the B10 with two seconds left in the game and team A is behind by 1 when A1 gets the snap from center. A1 scrambles to the B5 and when he sees he will not score so he tosses and completes a pass to A88 in the EZ for a TD. 2. 1-10 for A from the A30 yard line. As the pass is in the air to A88 on the right sideline, B22 grabs A80 in the middle of the field. The pass was incomplete. 3. B1 recovers a grounded punt at his own 2 yard line and his original momentum carries him into the EZ where he downs the ball. Please state NCAA or NF as for NCAA they are not all new rules. Fed Rules
1. 2004-B would have to accept the penalty to cancel the TD Penalty enforcement results in 3rd and 6 for A from B11. Untimed down 2005-Game is over down will not be replayed due to loss of down penalty 2. 2004-Most officials in our area would pass on the foul and get yelled at by "A" coach, and he would be right 2005-Everyone will pass on the non-foul and get yelled at by "A" coach and he would be wrong. 3. 2004-Momentum would not apply as the kick had been grounded resulting in a safety for A. 2005-Momentum rule applies to all loose balls and play results in 1st and goal for A from B2. |
