Taken from Referee magazine November '04:

A Nike ad featuring Dennis Hopper portraying a burned-out football ref was one of the 25 favorite sports-related commercials in a poll conducted by ESPN. The ads ran from 1994-95. What was the name of the referee Hopper portrayed? If you know the answer without looking it up, you are the Trivia King!!

With 58 views of this thread and one guess it's time to give the answer. These ads were some of my favorites and alwasy kept me laughing. The referee portrayed by Dennis Hopper was named Stanley Craver.
