If the ball is at the 30 yard line, is it a 48 yard field goald attempt? How far back do you put it?

Most teams go back 7 yards so the kick can clear the ENZ.
I am not aware, if there is of an exact amount of yards the ballmust be placed.

Sheesh, some of us do have other things todo besides watching every minute to see if there are new posts!
