He was on national TV last night (Law & Order) working as an umpire in a high school game. They showed him working the play just before the coach was arrested.

Did you say anything? If you had lines, you get scale - and residuals! Even if you just blurt something out ad lib.

REPLY: Does it count that I yelled to the cameraman to "get my good side?" Actually, they did pay us--about twice what we would get for a HS varsity game! Took about the same amount of clock time for the 4-5 seconds of actual air time.

I NEVER watch Law & Order, but flipped through it last night and saw the exact play. Congrats Bob!

I know the cops would never do that, but what would we do if a head coach was actually arrested during a game? Wowsa.

REPLY: I guess that would be the ultimate disqualification. He doesn't just get to sit on the bus. He goes to the hoosegow!

If one coach gets led off in cuffs...

I'd have the wing on the other sideline ask the coach if he had any gripes, too.

When do we ask who he's delegating to call time outs, before or after he's Marandized?
