Field goal attempts that hit the cameras on field goal posts

My co-workers and I were having a discussion today. We were watching Monday Night Football and wondered what would happen if an attempted field goal hit the camera mounted on the crossbar of the field goal post and bounced back into the field. Is it considered a missed field goal? Does the kicker get to re-kick? Is the field goal counted because the ball would have sailed over the cross bar if the camera was not there? It would be great if someone could clarify this for us. Thanks!

The camera is mounted on the curved bar that holds the goalposts up, so if a FG attempt hit it, the ball would have already passed through the uprights.

The cameras are mounted behind the plane of the goal posts.
Thus, once the ball breaks the plane of the goal, the field goal counts, and A is awarded 3 points.
Restated, if the ball were to hit the camera, at that point the ball is a dead ball and it has no bearing on the outcome of the play.
Same issue if the ball hits the net and were to bounce back through the uprights.
