Friday we had a game, very long and played between teams not quite ready for a game. WEll on with it, we had a play where A12 QB takes the snap and goes backwards, its shaping out to be a screen. As the ball gets to A89, he is hit hard in the back clearly before the ball gets to him a)behind neutral zone B)in Neutral zone, c) beyond. What do we have in these situations? (2 and 17 at B35yd line)

Okay we cannot have pass interfence in or behind(a and b) the neutral zone. Now the defense is allowed to push/pull to go for a loose ball so I guess it kind of depends on how bad the hit was. And beyond the nutral zone we have DPI.

If tackled behind the NZ it could be considered Defensive Holding? In the NZ same thing since the ball has not gone beyond the NZ?

The DPI beyond the NZ is easy.

Legal to hit him in A and B. But he can't be tackled.

C is DPI.
