This happened in a youth game today, can't say I've seen it before. Between plays and while the play clock is running, A9 runs over near the team box because his belt broke and his pants won't stay up. An A coach tossed A9 a roll of tape and he taped his pants up, then ran back to the huddle. Any problems with this?

Yes, I'd be laughing so hard, I'm not sure I'd be able to ref the next play.

Kids tape themselves up all the time...fingers, belts...etc. No problem at all.

No problem here.

Gee, what color tape. This might violate the uniform requirements......<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_17_208.gif' alt='We Are Not Worthy' border=0></a>

Substitutes can't run on, and then off... but I don't believe there's anything preventing a player who has not been substituted for from running near the sideline and then back.

As long as the player was within 15 yards of the ball when the RFP is signaled, no problem. Plus, its a youth game, try to cut the kid some slack.

When he comes back to the huddle, tell him the HL should have some tape he can borrow if he needs more. ;)
