A's ball 3rd & 6 at B18 yd line. A throws interception, ball is returned to B 20 where B is tackled fumbles the ball and A recovers.... What is the status of the ball and the clock.....Vets give the less experienced a chance first....and yes this actually happened last night in a JR HI game...oh and not for nothing...it was in a cold driving rain....brrrrrrrrrrr..

First instinct without looking anything up.
A's Ball 4th & 8 at B20 (Assuming that is where the ball was recovered). Clock starts on ready. How close am I? |
I will wait till more responses come in...you are batting .500
A gets the ball for a new series 1st and 10. Start the clock on the RFP. It would start on the snap if B was awarded a new series but that's not the case here so go RFP.
yes Ljudge is absolutely correct...but is he less experienced???
Are you sure about starting the clock on the RFP? We have a new series following a change of possession.
As ball 1st & 10. Clock on RFP.
Walt,
yep it is the RFP...you start the clock on the RFP unless B is awarded a new series or either team is awarded a new series following a legal kick.....that was the tricky part of the play... |
Definetly A's ball 1st down because there was a change of possession.
