4th down and 10 from A's own 25 yard line. A punts the ball and has kick catch interference at B's 40 yard line. what are team B's options? i seen a game tonight where the officials gave team B 15 yards from the KCI spot. i believe that is a previous spot enforcement or team B gets the ball at the KCI spot.

Yes you are correct, with the addition of the fact that they may take the result of the play.

I believe the options are enforce 15 yds from previous spot, take an awarded fair catch at the spot of the foul, or take the results of the play. It appears that the crew work that game incorrectly applied PSK.

this is not a psk situation. the foul was on the kicking team.

REPLY: In 1983, the Federation added a penalty for KCI that allowed R to take the ball 15 yards in advance of the spot of the foul. Then in 1990, they retracted it so that the only choices are decline the penalty, 15 yards from previous spot and replay, or take awarded fair catch at the spot of the foul. Seems like that crew is still living in the eighties!
