How do you keep the bottom WHITE part of your socks WHITE?????
|
Up here in Canada we still wear a stirrup over our white sock.
I just wear normal white socks under it, they are super easy to clean. Try OxyClean, that stuff takes the mud out of my white socks. |

Oxiclean is great. I've found that if you soak your socks in water overnight after a game, most of the stains come out. Someone on one of the forums said that a crew member of his would soak his entire uniform in the shower after the game and put in in a platic bag until he got home. He'd then throw it in the wash.

I worked a nasty mud bowl last Thanksgiving weekend. It rained sideways for the entire time with 20+ mile winds. The entire field was shoe-sucking mud goalline to goalline, hash-to-hash. As nasty as I have ever seen it.
I was covered in mud...knickers, socks, shirt, shoes, etc. I applied a liberal amount of shout to everything then soaked in very hot water the entire night. Then I ran everything through the washer twice the next morning. The result was NOT 1 single stain. I have also heard of the suggestion mikesears suggests which is similar. The trick is DON'T LET THEM DRY while that dirty and you should be OK. |
stirup socks
I was just cleaning out my gear and ran across like 4 pairs of stirups. If you really do wear these, e-mail me and I'll will them to your unit.
