Well according to nfl.com they voted to extend replay for another 5 years. And coaches will recieve a third replay if they are correct on the first 2 challenges. Just thought it was interesting.

How do you guys feel about replay system?

Put simply... At the NFL level I think it's a tool that's has GOT to be used somehow because it gives the officials a chance to correct mistakes that are obvious to everyone in the stadium and in TV Land. It's not perfect and arugably needs refinement but it has to stay in some form.

At lower levels the resources just don't exist to implement it consistently.

I do think, however, that the "bonus challenge" is weird (kind of like getting extra credit for doing well on a test). Has anyone heard anything about the rational for this change? The one thing I heard (from an NLF Network episode of "NFL Total Access" that showed some of the onwer/coach discussion) was that they thought it would give coaches incentive to use that second challenge rather than hold on to the flag "just in case". Any other ideas?

I think the "reward" challenge is a "reward" to coaches who are actually smart! Now it'll become obvious which coaches read their rulebooks and which ones don't. Wait a minute, coaches reading rulebooks???? That's a new concept!
