REPLY: Under the "Your Call" feature, REFEREE asked "What's the best job in officiating and why?" Mike answered, "Football umpire because you have to be a combination of good psychologist, communicator, and coordinator...and it's the closest thing to running with the bulls at Pamplona."

Thanks guys!
I did not receive my issue yet... I better send in my dues!
When I was in high school my best friend Myles and I were big Ernest Hemingway fans. We must of read "The Sun Also Rises" at least a dozen times. It was our dream to go to Spain and run with the bulls, drink wine, and wear berets. Perhaps someday... Uncle Ernie Hemingway was a big inspiration to me in my formative years. I always remembered his definition of courage as "grace under pressure". This really applies to football officiating. Its just an honor and a pleasure to be associated with a great game and most importantly a great group of guys such as yourselves.
