The commentators seem to be really down on the officials and I was wondering what the general opinion was on NCAA refs.
The last thing you should do is listen to anything the commentators have to say about the rules or officiating. We have some real idiots broadcasting some of these games.

What specific calls are you talking about?

And no, there is not a 2 minute warning in the NCAA.

Yeah, I should never listen to the commentators...good point!

I'm trying to remember the games in which the calls I mention were in, but I've watched that many recently they've all blended into one! One was in the Boise St - TCU game. A catch was made by a BS receiver, inside the 10 yard line. This valid catch was ruled incomplete.

The other was a play (QB sneak I think) that was down at the one, that was ruled a fumble. Think that was in either the Houston Bowl or the Holiday Bowl.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Speaking of PI, orange bowl game, I guess OPI is not a loss of down in NCAA? Another interesting difference.
Ohio has experimented with No LOD on OPI the last 2 years. I think it will go national sometime, maybe not this year.

Yes, I've heard of these experiments, where I am we aren't experimenting with it but I definitely think it shouldn't have a LOD attached. :)
