On an Onside kick, can a kicker be in front of the ball when he kicks it? If any of you watched the Vikings- Cardinals game, they ran on onside kick towards the right of the kicker, he kicked with his right foot, planting his foot and the majority of his body (except is right foot) downfield towards the returners.

Is that legal?

Yes. The kicker and the holder, if one is used, can be in the neutral zone prior to the kick.

Actually, they gave it away.

Just like they gave away the entire season.
