As far as I know, every NFL white hat says "First Down."
REPLY: Yes...but not the way that Cashion said it!

I met Red two years ago at an officiating conference.

Great speaker. Really enjoyed it.

But Red had a special "twang" that is impossible to put into print. It was unique!
I know.... I was trying to be funny... I forgot the smiley. :)

Well you do officiate under Canadian rules, right? :D

Yes, I do. I'm still trying to figure them out. :D

I gotta self-talk to myself: "there is no pocket, there is no pocket." :)

One thing that I found interesting: the Cdn field is, counting the EZs, 150 x 65 yards = 9750 yds^2. The US field is 120 x 53.5 = 6420 yds^2. Our field is 50% bigger than the US field is.

There are times when I'm working the sides, and I look at my sideline partner and say to myself, "wow, he's pretty far away."
