What is your opinion of Jerry Markbreit's "Last Call" book? I put that on my Christmas list, and it seems like Jerry would write an entertaining memoir.

I have his first book and it was very good. Haven't read the second one yet.

It's pretty good... I liked the autobiographical part better than the random thoughts part.

I think this book is actaully an amalgamation of his first book and some new stuff.

Reading this book now

I am reading this book now. I got it in November for my birthday. Good book. Some of his thoughts are all over the place, but you get used to it. I find myself laughing at it too, he has a nice sense of humor. I did not read his first book, but I would recommend "Last Call". It was entertaining to say the least.

Great book!

I got his book "Last Call" last year as a Christmas present...

I loved his self-deprecating sense of humor, his enthusiastic attitude towards the game, and his sense of honor...

He really gives a lot of credit to his mentors and other officials. Seems like such a likable and sincere guy... Self-confident yet humble...

Looking forward to reading his other book.

(By the way, I also have read Jim Tunney's book and no offense to Mr. Tunney but Mr. Markbreit's book is a whole lot better...)

". Seems like such a likable and sincere guy... Self-confident yet humble..."

Of course. He's from Chicago.
