Hoping somebody can point me in the direction of where I can order some football officiating videos. I have 13 football officials and only 2 of us have more than 10 years experience. 7 of the 13 are rookies. We are all living overseas in Italy and cover the military leagues and also call in the Italian Pro Football League. I'm looking for some tools to help get these guys up to speed.

Sounds like you are looking for a video showing clips of position mechanics. I spent some time looking and came up empty. There are a few discussion type video's available. Penalty Enforcement with Rogers Redding is one. Rule book, Case book, Interpetation meetings & game experience are how you get there. Try making your own tape. Next year I am having a friend video every game I work. I am hoping to share the tapes on line.

How cool is that. When is the season?, I'D love to work a few games there. I assume NCAA rules. I'll see if I can find something.

Season begins again in February and runs through July so there are a lot of games upcoming. We are using NCAA rules and doing a lot of traveling since we cover 6 locations. Since I have so many rookies, my best crew is the two experienced officials and my third most experienced person is going on his 4th year, one with 3 years experience and the remaining ones are on their 2nd year. As much as I'd like to rely on Game Experience to train these guys, we just don't have much to evaluate them on. When I worked in Florida a few years ago, they used to show some videos at the State clinics each year that were very good discussing the differences in what was a penalty and what was legal, some mechanics, etc... Don't know where they came from but I'd like to get my hands on them.
