hey guys.,..,.
I was just wanting to know if a QB( behind the LOS) is allowed to make an underhand pass that crosses the LOS to a receiver... plz let me know ..thx |
There are really only three types of passes - legal foward, illegal forward and backward (in NFHS rules - maybe others in NCAA? or NFL?). Regardless, the pass you described would be legal under all rules as long as it was the first legal foward pass thrown. Under NFHS there could be multiple passes thrown beyond the LOS as long as the passer came back behind the LOS before passing again. Make sense??

To underscore the point, A can toss it underhand, behind his back, between his legs, shot put style, two handed - any way he can think of to get it where he wants it. It just goes farther, faster, and straighter when you throw it overhand with a spiral.
