Could you please help me out with my questions below?

At 12:58 of th 3rd quarter of last weeks Giants/Panthers game there was a supposed sack of Jake Delhomme by Kyle Washington. Almost all sites list this as a sack except for our YAHOO Fantasy Football league which considers it a -4 yard rush. Whether or not Jake Delhome was sacked on the play will decide the winner of our league. Weird huh!

1) Is there any remote chance someone actually saw this play and can tell me whether it was a sack or not? I cannot find pictures or video anywhere.
2) I am trying to justify how a 4 yard loss running by a QB would NOT be a sack. Any ideas? If he was chased out of bounds 4 yards behind the line of scrimmage, is that a sack?

I know this is a lot. Thanks for your help.
Ron

I don't recall the play, nor do I play Fantasy FB. If the QB goes back to pass, and is dropped for a loss, it's a SACK. If the QB takes off on a called run, it's a running loss.

What does it matter? You're not going to change the YAHOO Fantasy Football League's mind.

Also I'd like to point out that these forums are for OFFICIATING AND RULE INTERPRETATION DISCUSSIONS. We do not care who gets a sack or any type of point system. Try somewhere else.

Actually I've never done volleyball before. Only football, lacrosse and basketball.

Ron - I'm sure you don't live here all the time like the rest of us, so you can be forgiven for your oversight, but can you imagine how overloaded with non-officiating questions this site would get if it entertained fantasy-football or scoring questions as well?

This is a site that officials use to get better at our craft (which, as a football fan, I'd hope you can respect), and we do tend to get a little proprietary about our space getting encroached on by non-officiating questions.

That said - your best bet is to check NFL.com - the "official" site for sports stats. If there's a discrepancy between them and your FFL site, you should be able to use NFL.com as the backing for your argument.
