I was wondering if anyone knew how to oficially score this play and where I would follow-up to clarify this rule. Dante Cauplepper throws a pass to Randy Moss who then in turn ladderals the ball to Moe Williams who scores a TD. Many sites, including (nfl.com) have Dante receiving credit for the TD as well as the total passing yds, scrimage to goal line. Can anyone clarify this issue for me? Thanks

If memory serves, the last time something like this happened, the QB got full credit for the passing yds and the TD, the receiver got the reception and the yardage he earned, minus the distance of the lateral, and the lateral reciever got "yards receiving", the TD, an no reception. Someone last year had a stat line of 0 receptions, 8 yards, or some such.

It almost sounded like he said "ladderals".

Shall we use the words "backwards pass?"

Other than that, I agree with mbcrowder.
