Interception BIB Fumble Fumble Fumble
1. Blue has the ball on the 50 yd line during a 3rd-down pass play the ball is intercepted by white.
2. During the return of the interception by white, White #50 commits a Block in the Back(BiB) 3. Later in the play, the ball is fumbled by white and recovered by blue who advances the ball, 4. Blue then fumbles the ball while being tackled and the ball is recovered by white and the ball is dead at whites 30YdLine. What do you do with the BiB? What we did is, White ball at the 30yd, acknowledged the penalty but no yardage, as if the penalty was declined by Blue to retain the ball following their recovering the fumble following the interception. Did we do it right?*

That is one option. This would be A declining the penalty. The other option is for them to accept the penalty. That would mean marking off 10 yards via 3-and-1 principle. This is why we need bean bags at spots of fumbles. If the flag is behind the bean bag, go from the flag, the spot of the foul. If the bean bag is behind the flag, go from the bean bag, the end of the related run. Without knowing where the foul and the fumble occurred, it’s impossible to know what the best enforcement option is. But what you did is one available option.
