Arm Sleeves and adornments

Can an arm sleeve be camouflage colored or do they have to be one solid color?

There is no specific guideline/rule regarding coloring of arm sleeves in NFHS.

If you want to debate the exact interpretations possible for "Uniform Adornments" with every creative teenager, or their coach, knock yourself out.

NFHS 1-3-5 prohibits ALL, with the exception of (a) One moisture absorbing, solid color towel, and (b) Moisture absorbing Sweatbands (each defined specifically)

"Arm sleeves" don't seem to comply with either a or b.

Is there some kind of sleeve other than an arm sleeve?

I read that, then went to 1-5-3 (c): Other Illegal Equipment:
1. Ball Colored helmets, jerseys, patches, EXTERIOR ARM COVERS/PADS, undershirts or gloves.
5. Jerseys, undershirts or EXTERIOR ARM COVERS/PADS manufactured to enhance contact with the football or an opponent.

After reading this, to me, Arm Sleeves are legal as long as they aren't ball colored or sticky.

Arm sleeves can serve as a protective device- ever seen turf burn?
My kid got it so bad it then developed into ringworm.

I bought him some Nike elbow sleeves, not the long knit things. He wouldn't touch them. Many of the pros wear a strip of adhesive material on the backs of their arms.

Upon further review, I'd modify my contention, unless the "sleeves" contained some offensive, vulgar or otherwise inappropriate message, 1-5-3-c seems the more appropriate rule reference and guidance.
