Kickoff play

K kicks off. K player holds an R player blocking. R fumble the ball at their own 35 yard line and K recovers. The hold was very close with the ball being loose. What are the options for R.? K did not get the ball with clean hands.

So, once R possesses the ball, what type of a play do we have then? A running play.

What's the basic spot on a running play?

You have to decide when the hold happened -- during that running play or when the ball's loose. If it's really close, then put it on the run and apply normal penalty enforcement procedures.

Think bean bag, think related run.
