3-3-3 & 3-3-4. If there is a live-ball foul by either team and the penalty is accepted, and time expires during the down, and the foul is not listed under 3-3-4b, then we have an untimed down (unless 3-3-3d applies). The exclusions in 3-3-4b are USC's, nonplayer fouls, LOD fouls, and fouls that are enforced on the kickoff or result in a safety.

So holding, illegal motion, false start, etc, that are accepted, what about block in the back?

If the penalty occurred:
1. AFTER the ball was snapped, or free kicked and BEFORE the ball "next becomes dead (During the down NFHS 2-7-1)
2. Was ACCEPTED.
3. Was NOT a foul listed in NFHS 3-3-4b.
4. Does NOT involve NFHS 3-3-3d.

The period should be extended, otherwise NOT.

Correction time was left on the clock per video review

NFHS 3-3-5 indicates each period (game) ends when the Referee "indicates the period (game" has officially ended. There is no provision for "video review" THANK GOD.
