First Touch Mechanics
 
New to football and I've had several versions explained to me which really confused me. On a first touch during a punt (by kicking team), do we flag and bag, just flag, or just bag?

Just bag, unless there is also a foul such as illegal batting or kick catch interference.

Although first touching has some elements of a foul, it's actually a violation. Bag only.
