Referee Mirroring Signals upon a Score
What is the NFHS mechanic about a referee mirroring signal after a score. Example: after a TD, turning to the press box and giving the TD signal or after a made PAT or FG, turning to the press box and giving the signal. Is it needed? Does anyone use that?

We don't use it (unless there's a penalty or something where the R do it as part of the announcement on the microphone). I think it used to be a mechanic for some reason, until the powers that be realize that officials other than the referee were, in fact, visible to the crowd.

Page 48 of the Official's Manual, seems to reference "Officials NOT observing touchdown, NOT mirroring signal (for good reason). However, the R confirming the score to the Press Box, as being certified, is an entirely different matter.
