Batting in end zone by defense
On a try for point for high school football( 2point convrsion) a fumbles the ball, b-(defense) adds a new force to the ball and ends up in the end zone.
If "a" recovers-2 points--if "defense" recovers-this is a 1 point safety and it goes to "a"--defense cannot runout of end zone-still a 1 point safety to team "a". The question came up if "defense" while the ball is loose in the end zone "batts" the ball out of the end zone--is it a 1 point still for "a". My thoughts it's still a 1 point safety becuase of the ball being forced into the endzone by the "defense", and the batting is illegal. |
