Legal or Not?
 
Substitute A80 realizes he is supposed to be in the game. He leaves the Team A box prior to the snap and enters the field on Team A's side of the neutral zone. He runs parallel to the LOS inside the nine yard marks and at the snap runs a pass route downfield and catches a pass for a short gain.

Legal Play?
Illegal Shift?
Illegal Substitution?
Illegal Participation?

Or illegal formation. Either way it's a foul that occurred at the snap and is penalized 5 yards from the previous spot.

It's definitely an illegal shift as all 11 players were not set for 1 second.

However, it could be an illegal formation if he was supposed to be the 7th player on the LOS.

It is not IS or IP.
