As long as receiver didn't give a valid/invalid fair catch signal, the ball is live and can be advanced by the receivers. If the kickers recovered beyond the ENZ, then the ball is dead belonging to the kickers. If kicker recovers in or behind the ENZ, then they can advance the ball. Keystone cop football. Award receiver 6 pts. for the TD. Bean bag the recovery by receivers because that is the end of the kick. Any feedback?

NFHS: R can recover the muff and advance. If K recovers the muff, they can't advance and the ball becomes dead there (applies to both free kicks and scrimmage kicks). Remember the ball is still considered a "kick" after a muff.
