I am wondering. Later this week there is a Jewish Holiday and I have a varsity game on Thursday. I was wondering does any schools in your area move games because of this Jewish holiday?

NF games in my area are on Thursday. Hasn't always been this way, but I'd say it's been at least 10 years for most teams.

REPLY: We actually have our game on Friday at 2:00pm so that it's over before sundown. Now I have to take a half day vacation from work!!

We service schools in several counties in Northern Virginia, some play on Thursday and some do not.

I heard a report that some rabbi said its Saturday after sundown that is the holiday not Friday!?

I know in Northern Illinois (suburban Chicago) there are games scheduled on Friday Night. Most of the conferences I follow are playing Friday.
