This is a question for all the referee's out there. What if anything special do you do for your crew throughout the year? IE.. take them our for supper, buy them things? Just curious.

I bought a van and drive them always, of course they pitch in for gas.....and b**r

Crew togetherness
 

We try to do some things as a crew that include the families. It takes a lot of support from families to allow us to referee. No one wants to worry about how things are at home when you have a game to referee.

We have a couple of get togethers during the summer for the crew and families. We cook out etc,etc. We pass this around and take turns hosting.

During the season, if we have an open date, we will take the wives out to a nice resturant.

The more things you can do to make officiating a family affair- the better things will go on the field

We as a crew always throw in at least one and possibly two game checks. At the conclusion of the season, we take our wives or girlfriends away for the weekend. We have done this for the last 15 years or so, it started as a dinner out but it seems to be generating a life of its own and now its the weekend. We have a great time and the wives seem to enjoy it.
