Trouble uploading pictures

I've been trying to attach a picture to a forum message. Site keeps telling me the .jpg file is too big. But it's well under your 100 kb limit. What gives?

Is there a site administrator in the house?

Okay, it has been two weeks and apparently no one has addressed my problem with uploading pictures. I have searched the site and found no reference to a site owner or administrator. Evidently, he or she wants to remain anonymous. Okay, fine. But at least monitor this category of the forum and respond to inquiries.

I think you math is off. ;)

okay

I was wrong in respect to the elapsed time, but the problem persists. If I try to upload an 84 kilobyte photo the error message says I'm 82.6 kb over the limit. (The limit is clearly stated as 100 kb.) If I try to upload a 400 kb image the error message says I'm 100 kb over the limit.

Ergo, I think the site uploader has more of a math problem than I do.

I'll bring this to the attention of the administrator.
