As you can see, I do not have an extensive amount of posts. I do not know how to partially remove a segment of another person's post and quote it. How do you use bold, underline or change font? I am using Netscape as a browser. Does that have anything to do with my difficulties? Thanks!

It could, though I doubt it. Do you see at the bottom of each post where there is a line of buttons? One of them says "quote." That will quote the entire previous post. Now, if I wanted to just quote part of the previous post, I could go to quote, then on my post highlight the text that I desire to remove, and then hit the "delete" key. For example:

Do you know HTML? Same basic commands. For bold, you would type [, followed by a B, followed by a ]. For example, this is bolded because I typed those three characters before it, even though you cannot see it. Here you see, I have turned off the bolding by typing [, then /, then B, then ].
