INT kills the play except when allowing the defense to field a fly ball and then kills the play (i.e.coaches INT with runner on a flyball, runner out and batter out if defense catches ball).

This play is not handled in that manner any longer.
It is not "interference", but covered under 8.7.E (Physically assisting a runner while the ball is in play). The assisted runner is declared out and the ball remains live.
