From a floor official's standpoint: thoughts on this?

As an official, I think...she has a very high pitched scream and if I was working the game, I would be happy she's near the endline as I wouldn't have to stand next to her during FTs.

I was thinking the same thing, that thankfully she's on the opposite side from the table.

I know here one of the rules of conduct is no stomping on the bleachers.

That's a game management issue...and I don't even know how you connect yelling with stomping in the bleachers. In either case, I'm not going to be the one to say anything.

Both can involve trying to ruin a FT shooter's concentration.

Both can happen either on the court or in the bleachers.

The on court stuff can be controlled via official's actions, the in the bleachers stuff controlled by game management.

Well the "reasoning" some people try to ban the bleachers stomping is some belief that it affects the bleachers. In some twisted way, I can see why someone would try and ban that. Stopping a fan from yelling? Well this ain't golf.

Like I said, that stuff is on game management...as long as we have no artificial noise makers, I don't give a damn.

Unfortunately what can be done if it's a rule that the league has asked to be enforced?

What you don't seem to be getting if that this is NOT a rule in the game of basketball. Therefore, officials don't care how much fans stomp. It has nothing to do with officiating.
