They each receive $55 for a high school game and a $6 meal allowance if travel to an assignment occurs during a normal meal time. bisonlj I bought the flags on my uniform directly from the American Legion store (their HQ are here in Indy). They made sure I got the right sleeve flag and gave me the one with gold piping even though I never identified myself as a veteran. Based on that I assume it's OK to wear them on our uniforms and use the gold trim.
