It is interesting that this is getting more play than what is going on in the NHL.

Did I miss something important? Is Wayne Gretzky, or Bobby Orr, coming out of retirement?

That's about what it would take for them to make news.

Wow, you are late.

That ship sailed a long time ago, like Week 1 (actually long before that).

Peace

The Canadiens scored 4 goals in the last period to come back from a 4-1 deficit last night and win 5-4. [Just in case you were not paying attention.]

Although I am a Canadiens fan before a Leafs fan, The Big Smoke had a similar night. Losing 2-0 at home, only to came back to win 5-2, scoring 5 goals in 5:22 in the third.

Maple Leafs, Maple Laffs, Maple Loafs. It all boils down to this: The last time they won the Stanley Cup, it was in black & white.

What's the Bowl Series? 😕

It's a fancy name they gave to the division of NCAA football that crowns their champion without the benefit of a playoff.

And something the University of Michigan will not be involved in this year. Sorta like the Hamilton Tiger-Cats situation this year.

I too call them the Maple Laughs.

But rest assured that when the TML win the Stanley Cup, it will be the biggest sports party that North America has ever seen.

Ah yes, the Cats. They're the closest CFL team to my house. Some day, JR, some day hopefully!

Always wondered why it wasn't the Maple 'Leaves' as in: Toronto leaves the playoffs before the SC Final each year.

Zuger is my nickname. Seriously! I'm European, and I have a weird last name (to some). Doing a provincial playoff game one day and the announcer came upon my name and couldn't make heads or tails of it, and ended up with "Zuger". 😀

There's talk some years that Hamilton wants an NHL team. Especially since the co-CEO of Research in Motion was into purchasing a team.

"Why won't Hamilton ever get an NHL team?"

"Because then Toronto would want one too!"

Do you pal around with a guy nicknamed 'Mosca'?

Reminds me of the old Ottawa Senators joke from their first few years in the league.

"What is the difference between the Ottaw Senators and a cigarette vending machine?"

"The vending machine has Player's."

Even better....a joke told in Western Canada every May or so....

"Did you hear about the huge fire at the golf course today? There were Flames everywhere."
