I just looked through rule 10, could not find anything in there that says being humiliated by my GF and walked off the court by a mascot in front of a full arena of people + the uncounted TV audience is a foul.

But it should be.

Good point.

She could have just said yes.

He could have been just a tad more sure about her response.

Or he could have invested that money he spent for a ring into something really worth having... like a motorcycle. or a boat. I'm sure he could have gotten her to agree to take a nice boat ride with him.
