rhhudson Has anyone ever heard of an 8 second count to cross half court?? I am calling in an college intramural league and being told that this has been changed across the board. NCAA, high school etc. Is this correct? I never knew it changed from a 10 second count.

Nothing has changed at the HS or NCAA level.

rhhudson I cant even find any mention on the NIRSA (college intramurals) rules. It says defer to NCAA rules if not explicitly addressed.

HawkeyeCubP rhudson - What school are you at? Also, despite the NIRSA rules supposedly deferring to NCAA rules, their rules (and most schools') are more often deferring to NFHS rules.
