mdray NCAA rules -- in rule 4-65-5 is says a throw-in ends when the ball is controlled inbounds; in rule 6-3-2, it says an alternating possession throw-in ends when the ball touches someone inbounds; can someone explain this difference to me? 😕

The alt. possession arrow will switch as soon as the ball is touched...
mdray thanks; so, during an AP throw-in, if a foul occurs after the ball is touched inbounds, but before the ball is controlled, we're not changing the arrow, correct?

As JR said, nope...in NCAA, a foul commited by the inbounding team at this point would still be a team control foul, but in NFHS it would not...that's the big difference.
