Adam I've come to the obvious conclusion that the only redeaming quality of winter is that it happens to be basketball season. I just had my 2nd night in a row of cancelled games. 🙁
Adam Originally posted by BktBallRef Currently it's 74 beautiful degrees with clear skies and sunshine! 🙂 You really know how to make a guy feel good about his home, don't you. 🙂

tjones1 Currently raining, has been since yesterday and it's suppose to do it all night tonight. Fun Fun
zebraman We rarely get snow here in Western Washington. They are predicting some for this weekend. Usually it's a false alarm so hopefully they'll be wrong again. It had better not snow because I have a huge rivalry game Friday night with a packed house and two great partners. Z

Wish I hadn't. 12-16 inches in the next day and a half. "Some Beach."

BktBallRef 3 hurricanes, no tornados. You take the good with the bad. 74 and sunny is pretty damn good! Washed and cleaned out my truck when I got home from work. 😛

I've had that game the last two years and it's a barnburner every time. Z

Nevadaref I know just how you feel. The first night of league play was called off tonight here. Two to three feet of snow depending upon exactly where you are. Schools were closed Monday and Tuesday. We'll see about make-ups.

I thought I'd read of a more recent one that was "harmless" (no deaths), but I can't verify that now.

I was a little tyke at the time, but if I remember correctly, Oregon suffered little if any damage in 1964. I don't know about California. But here in the "balmy" Willamette Valley, we're relatively free from natural disaster. We have our times of bad weather, and the occasional river out of the banks, otherwise it's pretty darn average.
