lasert can somebody tell me where to find out who has been assigned to do the UConn/Tennessee game in New Orleans? Thanks.
mick It is a curiosity to me as to why we want to know who the officials are *going to be*. Why do we want to know? mick
TriggerMN Watch the beginning of the game. They will most likely tell you just before tipoff who the officials are.

Anyway, this question does pop up this time of year, a lot like the crocus. [Edited by Dan_ref on Apr 5th, 2004 at 10:45 AM]
mick Originally posted by lasert Never Mind ! Regardless, I am willing to bet the coaches know, so that they may adust their practice to their particular perception of the officiating crew. mick
Hawks Coach It's usually not a "crew" in the true sense of the word, as they put together a crew of the top officials (in their eyes) in the women's game. If they don't usually work together as a crew, you would be trying to guess the way the game will be called without any real basis to know how that group will get together and officiate. Time is better spent analyzing their opponent 🙂

Then what????!!!

Which officials: • Let you attack the ball • Let you attack the basket • Call unseen hacks • Are fixated on post play • Watch the shooter back to the floor • Award verticality I find it very hard to believe that a coach does not know the officials for the upcoming game. mick

Mark Dexter Originally posted by mick Regardless, I am willing to bet the coaches know, so that they may adust their practice to their particular perception of the officiating crew. mick Nope. The names of officials for each game aren't released until 30 minutes before tip-off. Of course, if the a coach or manager happens to see one of the refs around town . . . . They're not sequestered. (The Nat'l. Championship Game officials are, however, prohibited from watching the semi's in person.)
[deleted] Just announced. The 3 stooges have been picked. Oh, I'm sorry, April Fools has already gone by. Regardless, I'm sure it'll be a great crew on the floor.

sleebo For what it is worth, I am from Lexington, Ky. (home area for Tina Napier and Lisa Mattingly). Not that our newspaper knows anything for sure, but it did mention that Lisa Mattingly is expected to work the Women's Finals tomorrow night...

Then we won't have sit in front of our computers, getting madder by the minute at some dexterhead fanboy who doesn't know or understand the rules of basketball. Shoo, fanboy, shoo!
