Association Websites

How many of you belong to associations that have their own website? Anyone willing to share the links so that those of us who don't but might like to can see what kind of things you put on there?

I'm thinking of approaching my local association about setting one up. We're pretty small but I can see some benefits from it.

Here's the link to the site for the rec league with which I was affiliated for 25 years. At different times I was the Chair of the organization, Referee coordinator and also trainer of HS boys to ref little kids games. I think this website is fantastic for a rec league.

I'm not a member of all those associations, but they are all around me. I personally find officiating in NoVA/DC/MD to be, well, full of some smug SOB's. I blame the proximity to DC.

Every single association I belong to has a website. We are in the 2010s, not 1999 anymore. 😉

Ours is hosted on RefTown.com

Go to reftown.com and in the "organizations" section select the "directory" link.

Look in the list for PBOA - clicking on the link will get you to the public side of the site - there are a variety of contact information and various documents/training materials you can access. Lots more is available on the members side once we log in.

The PBOA site is actually not one of the best examples. Other use a lot more on their home pages than we do. It isn't fully flexible like a custom site would be but it can do most of what any organization actually needs.\

A few better examples would be:

ISO: https://www.reftown.com/default.asp?Assoc=ISO
MVOA: https://www.reftown.com/default.asp?Assoc=MVOA
NYBUA: https://www.reftown.com/default.asp?Assoc=NYBUA
OSSUA: https://www.reftown.com/default.asp?Assoc=OSSUA
SUA: https://www.reftown.com/default.asp?Assoc=SUA
SVOA: https://www.reftown.com/default.asp?Assoc=SVOA

Note that the content, choice of fonts, etc. are form each organization....we just provide the framework to include a general web presence along with the assigning system.
