If player A has two feet in the backcourt and dribbles the ball in the front court is player A considered front or back court?

Dude, read the answer. He's not in the FC until BOTH feet and the BALL are in the FC.

BTW, welcome to the board.

On a dribble from back court to frontcourt, the player and the ball are all backcourt, until all three points touch in front court in succession. Remember this is ONLY ON A DRIBBLE from backcourt to frontcourt.

In FIBA, when either foot or the ball crosses center, you have FC status. I don't know where ref5 officiates.

FIBA

so if you are dribbling with ball in FC and feet in BC and you pick up the ball it is a violation?

---I hate reffing with such different rules. I do FED and FIBA. Do you guys who do both HS and college get confused a lot?

Many college guys just bring their college mechanics with 'em. The rules are close enuff to bluff.

And you are unsure about the back court rule???!!!

Are you in my area? Do you need a mentor?

Wish I could help. I'm in Idaho. I think you can likely get more than enough mentorship right here in this discussion forum.
