One and the Same?
 

The journey to being selected as an official for the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) boys' state final basketball tournament isn't an easy one for Western Illinois University graduate Jeffrey Rutledge.

Rutledge, a native of Macomb, who now lives in Naperville (IL) and works in insurance sales, is the 10th official in IHSA history to work a state final in football, basketball and baseball.

Not only is Rut terrific as to his contributions here about the game situations themselves, but a while ago he sent me a comment that was so funny I actually laughed out loud. How cool is that? :)

It's the off season, Mark Padgett got involved, it really is nice to finally put together a face, and a name (for those that have the courage to post under their real name, an option that my local board won't allow me to do), and I did gave you a sincere, heartfelt, compliment.
